INVENTORY OF THE TOURIST OFFER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TIMON-Maranhão
RESEARCH CARRIED OUT DURING THE SOCIAL ISOLATION PERIOD ON THE COVID-19 ACCOUNT.

The Tourist Offer Inventory is an extremely important document for tourism planning in the municipality and aims to "identify and record tourist attractions, tourist services and equipment and the infrastructure to support tourism as a basic information tool. for the purposes of planning, managing and promoting tourism, enabling the definition of priorities for available resources and encouraging sustainable tourism ".

NETUR carried out some INVITUR in partnership with public tourism agencies in Piauí and Maranhão.

In 2013 and 2014, NETUR organized and carried out the Tourist Offer Inventory of the municipality of Timon, in Maranhão, a border city with the capital of Piauí, Teresina.

For 2 years, the team met weekly and adapted the forms recommended by MTUR. On the occasion, workshops were also held for public and private managers, explaining the importance of the tourist inventory for planning the activity in the region.

The survey was carried out in June 2020, during the period of social isolation in Piauí, due to the new corona virus.
The research was statewide and reached a participating public of more than 340 Piauí people and residents in Piaui, with the main objective: to evaluate the travel intentions and the new behavior of the potential tourist who would make their trips to the tourist attractions of the state.
