One of NETUR's objectives is to stimulate, support and guide the student and teaching staff to the practice of knowledge, through the elaboration of scientific research, extension and CBT projects, which contribute, with new knowledge and pertinent data to the increase of tourism in several segments, focused on the needs of the demands that contribute to the sustainable development of tourism.

NETUR also has in its trajectory several contributions with technical studies of tourism, carried out in partnership with other institutions, such as: Inventory of tourist offer, Management Plans, Survey of Tourist Demand, Analysis of economic impacts of tourism, among others.
